About the Founder
Hikma Academy | A’Design Award Winner
Hikma Academy is an award-winning office project recognised for its innovative approach to workplace design. The concept reimagines the traditional corporate environment by integrating educational design principles, creating a multidisciplinary space that strengthens company culture, showcases heritage, and enhances day-to-day collaboration.
Developed for a major pharmaceutical organisation in Amman, the 650 m² project spans three levels and blends industrial elements with warm natural materials. Floating hexagonal lighting, exposed metal structures, leather seating, glass partitions filled with gelatin capsules, and curated storytelling graphics collectively define a modern, knowledge-driven atmosphere.
The space features flexible work settings, high desks, café and lounge areas, interactive screens, meeting rooms, and a small library — all designed to encourage creativity, learning, and dynamic workflow. Tailored details, such as custom partitions and capsules that reference the company’s chemistry background, reinforce the brand’s identity in a subtle, architectural way.
Completed in 2018, the Hikma Academy project reflects a thoughtful balance of aesthetics, functionality, and narrative — earning recognition for transforming corporate offices into a vibrant educational and cultural experience.
Dead Sea Private Villa | A’Design Award Nomination
Situated along the crest of the Dead Sea mountains, this private villa unfolds as a series of interconnected volumes that merge with the dramatic terrain. Designed for a family of five, the residence combines a duplex suite, open-plan living areas, and flexible family spaces that extend toward an outdoor terrace and a tropical fruit garden.
A detached master suite is accessed via a sculptural wooden bridge, marking a deliberate transition into a secluded retreat. This pathway opens onto a floating timber deck, reflective pool, jacuzzi, and a linear infinity pool that visually dissolves into the horizon — reinforcing continuity between architecture and landscape.
The design takes its cues from the site’s geology: stratified rock formations, steep topography, and vibrant mountain tones. Stone excavated on site was recut and tumbled for the main façades, anchoring the architecture within its natural context.
Environmental performance informed the spatial strategy. Deep overhangs, shaded apertures, and proportioned glazing on east and west elevations enhance ventilation and reduce heat gain, while cantilevered elements provide passive shading and emphasize the villa’s horizontal reach toward the sea. The result is an expression of site-responsive architecture, material honesty, and a clear dialogue between mountain, sky, and water.
